The quoting engine needs six pieces of information: gender, date of birth, general health status, tobacco use history, desired coverage amount, and term duration. These six data points alone are sufficient to generate rate quotes from carriers. Personal information and health history are collected only if you decide to move forward with an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The displayed amounts represent rates that carriers quote for the health classification you selected. Your actual final premium will be determined by the carrier's underwriting process, which may confirm your class, improve it, or adjust it. This site is not an insurance offer and does not promise any specific price or rate.
What happens when I click Apply?
You provide your name, and an application is generated based on the specific quote you selected, then transfers to the carrier's secure platform. The process allows you to pause and continue at any time, with electronic signing capability. Will I need a medical exam?
Requirements vary based on which carrier you choose, your coverage amount, and your health information. Certain carriers offering immediate coverage can make decisions on the spot for qualified applicants. Each quote indicates whether a medical exam is required, might be required, or is not required.
Is a longer term better?
Select a term length that spans the period when your family would face financial hardship without your income—think mortgage obligations, dependent children, or business loans. Extended terms mean higher monthly costs but provide fixed rates over a longer time span. Our quoting tool allows you to compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year options directly alongside each other.
